Hope this is the right place to post. My husband and I wanted a place in the country and have bought land in north Florida and are in process of building a home there. We are selling our current 3 bdrm, two bath, fenced, no HOA home here in NW Orlando. We would like to sell to an American family, couple or individual and not to a company. We heard about all of the companies like Blackrock and others who are buying up land and houses and turning them into rental properties. We feel that this is really bad for America and we won't compromise on this, no matter what any of these companies offer us.
We have a semi enclosed, working aquaponics garden in the backyard. It has five 48"x40"x14", raised growbeds, sump tank, pumps and a 275 gallon fish tank. There are 8 tilapia fish in it at present but tank will accomodate more. (3 beds are shutdown for cleaning) We have raised microgreens, herbs, strawberries, eggplant, collard greens and other veggies in it over the years. We can provide more detail on the whole system. There are fruit trees in the backyard as well. A large starfruit tree is producing abundantly since last year and there are 11 or so pineapple plants along fenceline that produce every year. There is a dwarf banana tree that gave us a good amount of fruit last year and gave some unknown critter, all of our bananas this year when we weren't paying attention. There is also a peach tree that fruits, young avocado and olive trees that haven't fruited yet. The home was built in 1972 and has a new roof, new plumbing and updated master bath. We didn't expect to be moving this soon and havent completed all updates yet. We plan to paint exterior and interior of home before closing and if time allows, new flooring in bdrms. There is also a slab on side of home for an rv/other. There is plenty of shopping nearby and home is centrally located in Lockhart, Fl between Winter Park, Altamonte Springs and Apopka Fl, with convenient access to I-4, to go ne toward Daytona Beach and sw to downtown Orlando, theme parks, Tampa etc. For inquiries, email me at dihorton72@protonmail.com
